By Janice Elizabeth Small A glut of new diet books hit the shelves every year and we buy them in our millions. Every book is full of promises that this will be the only diet book you’ll ever need, the answer to your prayers. But there you are again, just a few weeks or months later buying another diet book, hoping that this one has the true magic formula that will help you lose weight and stay slim forever. But actually there is no magic formula in any of those books, there never will be. You are the only one that has the magic formula - the desire, the determination and the ability to take action. Many of those diet books would work if you could bring yourself to follow the “easy” food plans in them. Many of the exercise programs would tone and slim your body if you could drag yourself to the gym to do the routines or even get yourself out of bed in the morning early enough for a toning session at home. But that is so very hard to do. They ask too much, too suddenly for ordinary mortals. We know in our heart of hearts that those diets work, and that it is we who do not. But we continue to buy the books because we are buying not just a book but hope when we hand over our cash. Instead of pretending that you have a will of iron and are likely to turn your life upside down this time (despite evidence to the contrary from the past goodness-know-how-many attempts) why not just select any of the books you already have from your shelves and work out what you can do to make a start towards implementing the plan. Success does not have to happen in a day. But making small changes one after the other brings about huge success. It gives you the chance to adapt bit by bit to a healthier lifestyle. On the other hand, if the lifestyles in the books do not appeal as a way of living forever then that’s another story. Diet books generally offer a quick fix rather than an attractive way of life (quick fixes are what give us the hope and sell the book after all). In that case, why not design your own healthier lifestyle - one you’re prepared to live with forever and put that in place step by step? Create your very own magic diet and exercise plan that will work for you for life and keep you slim permanently. By Joseph Then Setting a career goal or objective is a personal challenge a person makes to himself or herself within a limited period by setting deadlines. The most successful people are usually ones that have set career goals for themselves. They know what they want to do, and work and plan towards achieving those results. It is never too early or too late to start setting career goals and working towards them. Difficulties in setting goals One of the most difficult issues in setting a career goal is recognizing exactly what a person wants. Even after they have a career goal chosen, often there are still doubts in their mind about the choices they make. Determining exactly what an individual wants is the most important decision they make in goal setting and career planning. Understand that it is very common when setting career goals to have times in their career path where people are not sure about the goals and choices they have selected. Even extremely successful individuals feel this way occasionally. These feelings often come and go. Sometimes, when an individual has to face a huge obstacle on their career path, it can be overwhelming and make them question their choices. Once the individual has dealt with this challenge, everything seems on course again. This is a test of his or her perseverance and is not a career goal problem. It is a problem when these doubts persist or are always in the back of their minds. If this seems to be the case, study the career choice and carefully rethink the career objectives. Sometimes we make a career choice in high school such as cooking. When we take Chef Training in college, it may not be what we are still interested in or no longer have a passion for. Simplifying the process Here are a few steps that can help you realize your career goals and maintain your goals once you have achieved them. 1. List - It is very important for anyone who desires to set and then achieve their career goals, to write their plans down so they are in black and white. When written down, ideas are much more real on paper than ones kept in our heads. It is very easy to forget or put aside goals that we talk about or think about but are not on paper. 2. Visualize - Daydream and think about your goals. If you want to be a top salesperson in a large company within the next three years, imagine ways to make this goal a reality. Also, visualize about the responsibility and work you will acquire once the position is obtained. 3. The Right People - Surround yourself with people that believe in you and are positive about your ability to achieve your career goals. People that believe you can succeed at anything will reinforce that anything is possible with determination and hard work. Make your goals a part of your lifestyle and constantly work towards achieving them. Goal setting is important! Do away with all the trials and errors and set your goals today! By Rich Fuller Depression is a mood disorder involving more than just “feeling down in the dumps” but also includes symptoms such as sleep disturbances, fatigue and loss of energy, feelings of worthlessness and inappropriate guilt, hopelessness, difficulty concentrating, agitation, restlessness, irritability, withdrawing from activity, and suicidal thoughts. Although not all these symptoms need to be present at least five are necessary for it to be termed depression and the symptoms are more long lasting than just “feeling down”. An increase in depression over the last century has been linked to a deficiency of essential and metabolic fatty acids in the modern day diet. Essential and metabolic fatty acids are vital to the proper functioning of the body and brain and a deficiency or imbalance between fatty acids can cause the body or mind to malfunction and increase the rate of disorders such as depression. Essential fatty acids play an important role in the functioning of brain chemicals such as serotonin and dopamine. If there is an incorrect balance between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in the diet then the brain chemicals will not be able to function optimally and depression could result. In balancing essential and metabolic fatty acids it is important to eat foods high in omega-3 fatty acids such as fatty fish or to supplement the diet with a fish oil or omega 3 supplement. Hibbeln and Salem of the Laboratory of Membrane Biophysics and Biochemistry have argued that the correct balance of essential and metabolic fatty acids may help to reduce the development of depression and in particular they cite the fatty acid DHA. A study in which bipolar disorder patients were treated with DHA and EPA in conjunction with their other medication showed that DHA and EPA also improved the results with these patients and they experienced less recurrences of depression or mania. In another study with patients suffering from depression it was shown that those who ate fatty fish two to three times per week over a period of five years were less likely to experience feelings of depression. Fatty fish is an excellent way to balance your intake of essential and metabolic fatty acids. Our modern diet has led to a great imbalance in essential and metabolic fatty acids and a corresponding increase in depression. It is vital to correct these imbalances and tests have shown that treating patients suffering from depression with essential and metabolic fatty acids can lead to improved results and fewer recurrences of feelings of depression. By Rodger Cresswell Can you smell your way to good health? There are many people who now think or are sure that you can. The planet is filled with natural fragrances that many of us take for granted. However there are many who believe that the right natural fragrances can help you feel better, work better and, best of all, relax! It could be the fresh smell that precedes a rainstorm, the smell of freshly ground coffee or the smell of your favourite flower; natural aromas are all around us and influence our disposition. An excellent example is the trick of having bread baking or fresh coffee on the go as you show a prospective buyer around your house. Much work and research has been done to see if the power of smell can help in the treatment of many common ailments. Is that possible? Put a good quality lavender essential oil onto an aromatherapy diffuser or hot stone vaporiser, close your eyes and feel yourself relax and drift off into another world. Our bodies have worked in close unison with Mother Nature for so many years and maybe she knows something we are only just beginning to understand. There are more than 150 oils that have distinctive therapeutic, psychological and physiological properties that are reputed to improve health and prevent illness. All aromatherapy oils have their own unique healing and antiseptic properties. Some oils are antiviral, others relieve pain, some are relaxing and yet others can even be used as anti-depressants. Like all alternative treatments, aromatherapy is not something you experiment with without attaining some knowledge. For example, mentioned above is vaporising lavender essential oil and enjoying the soporific effect. It may be tempting to massage the lavender essential oil straight from the bottle onto your temples or foreheads. However, good quality lavender oil is very concentrated and that strength on the skin is likely to cause an unpleasant reaction. It is only recently that the advice has been given to mix Lavender and Tea Tree essential oils with a carrier oil before massaging into the skin. Previously it was considered safe to put either of these essential oils directly onto the skin but there have been cases of allergic reactions. Research by reading articles, books and e-books by experienced practitioners. The time will be well spent as there may be benefits to you, your health and wellbeing. There is much to be discovered and enjoyed in the safe use of aromatherapy and essential oils. By Daniel Roshard Garden fountain looks astonishing when it is newly installed. And even when the effects of weather and age are obvious, garden fountain seems to charm everyone. But it doesnt mean that you neglect the uneven flow and murky water in your garden fountain. To maintain your garden fountain in its perfect look, you have to keep in mind the following tips: The water flow is usually a very common problem, some home owners experience this a while after they got the fountain running, it usually means that water from your garden fountain flows unevenly. In this case the most probable diagnosis is that the garden fountain may be sinking unevenly or garden fountain is uneven right from the very beginning, thus, favoring to lean on one side. You can try out this solution, garden fountain must be constructed on a strong, stable and accurately level ground because these determine the outcome of the fountain. But, if it is too late to make a mend, try to place silicon sealants on lumps that flow water. Silicon sealants will control the flow of the water and will not obstruct the appearance of the garden fountain. Some other problem that many home owners have is that the water on the garden fountain is green, dirty or murky, if this is caused by an element that is not connected to the general upkeep and maintenance and cleaning of the fountain you should think about replacing the water and treating the algae that has spread in your fountain. Green water is caused by algae. Put some animal-safe algae treatment in your garden fountain. Take note of the word ‘animal-safe’ because birds are drinking on your garden fountain. Also, regularly drain your garden fountain. Clean it by scrubbing. Refill it with tap water. Dirty and murky water must be prevented to keep your garden fountain the center of attraction and not an eye sore. Try keeping a regular maintenance and cleaning scheduled for your fountain, you can easily spot problems when you regularly visit the fountain and clean it, it is very easy to solve problems of a maintained and cleaned device. Most of the people that have a fountain have put in enough time and energy, not to mention money, on having a nice water feature in their backyard, garden or home, you should keep a regular maintenance and cleaning procedure for all the water features in your home, it will allow you to use them for years and would keep your fountain in a perfect shape, that will not only show when it is working, but also while it is static. Fountains are a thing of beauty, you can place a fountain in the front of your house or in your garden, the effect of the water and the beauty of the fountain design will have you enjoy this feature for a long time, you can read more about Garden Fountains at the fountains site http://fountains.advice-tips.com/ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Daniel_Roshard http://EzineArticles.com/?Garden-Fountain-Maintenance&id=383202 ambien with no prescription numero cip zolpidem generic ativan brain injury ambien memphis

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Andrew_Baker]Andrew Baker People are afraid to go for a loan for satisfying their financial necessities. They believe that their bad credit history will deny them from getting the loan. But this is only a myth, with secured loans available in the market, taking a loan after having a bad credit record has become so convenient. Secured loans are those loans that are secured by some collateral or security. Collateral can be any valuable asset. It can be home, car, boat or any other property of the borrower. These loans carry lesser amount of risk for the lender. Secured loans are available under different tags for different purpose. It can be any of the following: Debt consolidation loan loans for combining your existing debts installments in a single debt at low interest rate.Helps to recover from a bad credit. Simultaneously cuts off your monthly expenditure.Car loans Loans for buying you a car, which you always wanted to have.Home improvement loans for the improvement or modification of your home. Can be adding new rooms, plumbing, repairs etc.Holiday Loans Holiday loans are loans to cater to your traveling needs.Business Loans Got an idea? Want to open a new business or expand the existing one. These loans will serve you in your business related financial needs. Credit ratings or bad credit history doesnt affect the approval of a secured loan The terms and conditions are quite flexible and the lender carries a liberal attitude towards borrower regarding repayment The installments are spread over a longer period for the repayment. You need to borrow only that much amount of debt which you can handle. Only the title of the collateral passes to the lender after the loan has been taken but the possession remains with you. In case of any default made by the borrower in the payment of loan or a part of the loan, the lender can force his right of repossession of the collateral. But you should keep in mind to choose a right lender before applying for any loan otherwise you would end up paying a higher interest. There are numerous lenders in the market offering you the secured loan. It may be not possible for you to approach each and every lender to find out what they have to offer. By Eric Morris Its a dream many women to have a fuller and firmer breasts. For many women who are too self-conscious, the size of their breasts may cause them to think poorly of themselves. The attitude towards the breast enlargement is often dictated by fashion. There is no ideal breast size and the size and shape of the breasts vary from woman to woman. Rarely are both breasts symmetrical in women, and in most cases one of them may be larger or smaller or higher or lower than the other. The size, however, does not in any way inhibit the ability to feed or nurse a baby. Breast size is influenced by a number of factors such as the genetic composition, age, weight, the thickness and elasticity of the skin, the hormonal influences on the breasts, pregnancy, and breast-feeding. There are various techniques of breast enlargement, both surgical and non-surgical. The non-surgical methods range from breast enlargement creams, pills, and pumps to breast enhancement exercises and hypnosis. Surgical breast implants involves placing saline-filled implants either under the breast tissue or the chest muscle beneath the breasts. But as with every surgery, there are risks involved in breast implants. Many women choose alternative natural breast enlargement methods because of the side effects associated with surgical breast enlargement. Manufacturers of alternative breast enlargement products claim that they are a safe, inexpensive, and painless way of achieving fuller and shapelier breasts. These products, the manufacturers claim, increases breast size by stimulating the growth of breast tissue. There are instances of women who have experienced positive results by the use of alternative methods, but the results are more pronounced only in a small segment of products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Better Business Bureau confirm that no breast enlargement method or product other than surgery has ever been proven to actually work. The appropriate breast enlargement method should be chosen after consultation with a doctor and only after a careful consideration of all the risk factors involved. It is important to realize that attractiveness is never as important and priceless as life itself. By Debbie LaChusa One of the things I love most about being a solo-professional is I get to be “me.” Now, I do realize that my business is NOT me … my business coach has made sure of that. And, I do know that’s a good thing. However, one of the things I’ve realized over the past year is how important it is to just be me. To let my personality come through in my articles, my writing and my marketing. It’s funny actually, because I get more reaction from my ezine subscribers when I do this. More than when I pose a marketing question or ask for feedback or response to an article. If I talk about something personal, people connect and they write to me. I was taught this by one of my mentors, Alexandria Brown, The Ezine Queen. She related a story of how when she talked about her kitten, she got all kinds of emails from readers sharing information about their pets. So I figured I’d try it. I literally tried the same thing in one issue of my 10stepmarketing Ezine and talked about my dogs. They are after all my “co-workers” since I work out of my home and no one else is around all day. What happened? Same thing that happened to the Ezine Queen … I got emails back from readers about their pets. The nice thing was, it actually helped me to connect with more of my readers, too, which was cool. The same thing happened when I shared about my new car and my kids. And I started to realize I didn’t have to separate me from my work. And that by bringing more of me into it, I was actually connecting with more of my readers. What a relief that was for me. I could just be me and I could share more than just marketing tips; I could share about me. And that actually works better than just being the “marketing expert” all the time. The other lesson I learned was to let my passion shine through. I am one of those people who feels truly blessed to be doing work I love. I love to get up everyday and help my clients with their marketing. I love sharing what I know in the hope it will help another solo-professional be more successful. And when I hear that I’ve made a difference in someone’s business and their life, I’m overjoyed. So, when I learned to let this passion shine through, to truly market from the heart, it made a huge difference. Not only did marketing become easier, suddenly I didn’t feel like I was “selling,” and I started getting better results. People buy from those they know, like and trust. So I guess it stands to reason that if you’re authentic, you’ll attract people who connect with you and they’ll be more likely to like and trust you. So while I absolutely believe you need to be professional in your marketing, I also believe it’s more important to let your passion and personality shine through than to try and impress people with all your knowledge, experience and credentials. Avoid the big words.Just talk to people in plain English about the problems they’re facing and how you can help them. When they sense you’re speaking to them authentically, odds are they’ll be more likely to want to do business with you. And besides, its more fun to work with people you like! Give it a shot. Just be yourself. You might just be surprised at what happens to your business! By Shawn LeBrun Well, it’s that time of year that most of us either love or hate (or a little of both). The holiday season is upon us and although you may be likely to pack on some pounds during this time of bountiful food, with a little planning, that doesn’t have to be the case. Below you’ll find some simple tips from personal trainer and fitness expert Shawn Lebrun that will help you stay thin through the holiday season. 1. Nibble on food throughout the day. If you graze and snack on a little here and there all day, you will not build up that chance to be extremely hungry. Instead of eating one large meal, which ends with an unbuttoning of the pants to let your extended stomach go free, try having 2 or 3 smaller meals throughout the day. Not to mention, eating smaller snacks throughout the day keeps your metabolism burning faster. Two or three hours before the “sit-down dinner, snack on some fruit, some carrot and celery sticks, or any other lower calorie foods. Then, when it’s dinner time, you won’t be as hungry. 2. Skip the gravy, dressings, and high-calorie condiments. If you’re cautious about calories but still want to enjoy the main Thanksgiving feast, skip the gravy and fatty dressings. If the turkey is too dry without some type of sauce, use ketchup or a low-fat gravy. Many times, the dressings and condiments are worse culprits than the foods you put them on. 3. Eat more vegetables with your meal. Instead of loading up the potatoes and stuffing, choose to have more vegetables with your turkey. On a calorie basis, you’re better off eating a larger serving of veggies than you are carbs like potatoes, rice, stuffing, or bread. 4. Drink a lot of water throughout the day. This will help with hunger throughout the day. Water is a great appetite suppressant and if you’re constantly sipping all day, you will not find yourself starving. 5. Go outside and be active Sitting around the house all day watching T.V., smelling the food cooking will keep you salivating and your stomach growling. Take a pre-dinner walk with the family or the dog. Go to the park, watch the kids play ball. If you’re really motivated, go for a jog/run before dinner or later in the evening. Being active will not only help burn off more calories than sitting in front of the tube, it will also keep you from being in “eating mode” from the kitchen aromas. 7. Have a smaller dessert Don’t skip dessert, just moderate it. Have a small sliver of pie with a larger serving of Fat-Free Cool Whip or other non-dairy topping. Again, my feeling is to enjoy yourself and eat a little of anything you want. The holidays are not a time to feel deprived. They are meant to be happy, spending time with friends and family. If you’re dedicated to being in shape, one day will not ruin your results. Shawn Lebrun is an online fitness trainer and natural bodybuilder. By Cindy English If you are considering a beach wedding, the ideas are as endless as your imagination! One thing about choosing a beach wedding theme is that it allows you total creative freedom. Depending on the time of day, the beach can set the mood. At sunrise or sunset, it is a place of serenity, beauty and romance. Mid-day, it is the hub of excitement, activity, and fun. By nature, a beautiful scene has already been set for you. There is no need for many decorations! Are you planning an intimate wedding with just a few guests? Let the beach help you set the stage for your romantic wedding ideas with a dawn or dusk seaside ceremony. The sunrise or sunset will provide a spectacular background for your wedding photos. On the other hand, if you want to “tell the world” and have a large gathering of people, consider a mid-summer day “beach-side bash” or fantasy beach wedding that includes your guests. That’s the fun part of a beach wedding - your guests can participate. Everyone has fun! Here are a few ideas to get you started… * Be Cinderella with your Prince Charming. Have him place the “glass slipper” that fits on your foot as a symbol of your perfect union. You could hire a professional sand sculptor to build a beautiful sand castle as a background for your fairytale theme. Leave in a horse drawn carriage. * Have a Pirate Wedding. Rent costumes and decorate with treasure chests fake gold coins and jewelry. Have a real treasure hunt. When you leave, sail off into the sunset. * How about an “I Dream of Jeannie” beach wedding theme? Decorate with pretty, colorful bottles in the sand like the one she was found in. At the end of the day, disappear in a cloud of smoke! * A Western beach wedding theme would be fun! Many beaches allow horseback riding. The reception could be a good old fashioned fireside “camp out” under the stars. Leave on horseback. * Have a Rainbow Wedding. Create a rainbow to wed under out of brightly colored helium filled balloons tied together. Hold them down with the “pots of gold” at each end. Have everyone bring a colored umbrella to decorate the aisle with. Great back plan up in case it rains! * Butterfly weddings are popular. Shades of yellow and orange with butterflies woven amongst the flowers in your tiara and bouquet would be beautiful. Use butterflies as boutonnieres for the guys. * A Surfing theme would be neat. Of course surf boards and “The Beach Boys” come to mind here! By the way… Don’t rule out you beach wedding ideas because you don’t live near an ocean. The definition of a “beach” is - “the shore of a body of water, especially if sandy or pebbly”. That includes lakes and rivers. For that matter, you may have a “beach” right by your swimming pool. There are no rules. Be creative! It is your beach wedding…it can be anything you want it to be - wherever you want it to be! Most of all…have fun!
